Throughout the entire year that I was working on Billie’s record, I was also participating in the television program. As a result, I kept this in the back of my mind, constantly focusing on the details. This represents the true essence of the situation. On a daily basis, I would begin working on Disclaimer immediately before Billie arrived at my house. After she left, I would come back and continue working on it. Finneas, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, stated, “I truly attribute the presence of a string overture in that album to Disclaimer.”
It has always been something that we have cherished. While we were working on this album, we made reference to the albums Sgt. Pepper and Abbey Road. Both of these albums feature recurring themes, which prompted us to incorporate them into this album. However, I attribute the experience that I gained from watching the performance to the fact that it taught me how to do it.
