
A really flavorful vegan recipe that is also vegan. This meal is a quick and easy way to cook, and it contains a significant amount of protein.
Ingredients

2 tsp. Salt
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
8 pieces of garlic (cloves)
1 large onion.
2 medium green chilies
1 tbsp Soy sauce
2 tsp vinegar
150 gm Tofu
4 tbsp cornflour,
1 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp. chili powder
Cooking Steps Of Chili Tofu
- Remove excess water from tofu and keep aside.
2. Add cornflour, red chilli powder (optional if made for kids), pepper and 1 tsp salt to a bowl and mix the mixture well.
3. Add tofu cubes to it and coat well. Marinate it for 30 minutes.
4. Meanwhile, finely chop garlic cloves, onion quartered/cut lengthwise with each layer separated and green chilli slit in half and keep aside. Skip green chillies if cooking for kids.
5. Heat oil, add marinated tofu and saute till light brown from all sides and keep aside.
6. Sauteing in a non-stick pan will add extra crunch to the tofu and further reduce the usage of oil.
7. To the remaining oil add finely chopped garlic. Add onions when the garlic is slightly golden brown or till the raw smell goes away, add slit green chilli, and mix well.
8. Add cornflour slurry (2 tsp cornflour with 1 cup of water) to the pan. Followed by soya sauce, vinegar, and salt (as per taste). Finally, add sauteed tofu.
9. Mix everything well and cover to cook for 5 minutes. Serve hot.
