The recent arrest of Artem Chigvintsev has ignited rumours about his possible return to Dancing With the Stars. Fans were wondering if the professional dancer would return for the upcoming season after hearing about his domestic abuse incident.
Why Did Artem Chigvintsev Disappear?
On August 29, 2024, for reasons that remain unclear, paramedics were dispatched to the residence of Chigvintsev and his wife Nikki Garcia, according to TMZ. However, the request was cancelled when the mystery person contacted emergency responders again.
Hollywood Life was able to confirm from Chigvintsev’s booking at 10:40 a.m. on the same day that he was detained in Napa County, California, according to papers seen online. His release was scheduled for 2:18 p.m., and his bond was set at $25,000.
Chigvintsev has not addressed the arrest in public.

Chigvintsev was taken into custody on charges of criminal physical harm to a spouse or cohabitant, according to TMZ. The identity of the victim is yet unknown. The victim reportedly requested “total confidentiality,” according to the news source.
