Since her debut on the first season of American Idol in 2002, Kelly Clarkson has continued to be a mainstay in the music and entertainment industries. She has released a plethora of singles since winning the singing competition, including “Since U Been Gone” and “My Life Would Suck Without You.” She has been a coach on The Voice and started hosting her own talk show in 2019, all since she became a music celebrity. They tied the knot in 2013, and she and Brandon Blackstock, a talent manager, welcomed a daughter in 2014 and a son in 2016. Kelly has primary custody of their two children from their marriage to Brandon, which she filed for in June 2020. Even though they broke up, Kelly made sure that her kids never lost touch with their dad. Due to Brandon’s illness in 2025, she decided to delay her Las Vegas appearances.
After his marriage to Melissa Ashworth ended, Brandon had two more children, Seth and Savannah. Get to know each child better by reading on!
Remington Alexander

Remington Alexander Blackstock was born to Kelly in 2016. In the days following the birth of Remington (or Remy), she expressed her joy at having two young children via Twitter. I couldn’t be happier; my family is the best, and my kids are the coolest. Love fills me. “I wish this could be in everyone’s hands!” She penned the piece.
More lately, Kelly has shared Remy’s “engineering” abilities with her Instagram followers, showcasing his passion for construction and his ability to use his toys in creative ways. Kelly has posted both the adorable snapshot of his handiwork and photos of her children visiting her on set at The Voice. She has written that she loves it when the kids come to see her! Additionally, Kelly uploaded a funny video of Remy sitting next to her on The Kelly Clarkson Show, where Coldplay’s Chris Martin was a guest. Although Chris’s acoustic rendition of his band’s smash hit “Yellow” sounded lovely, Remy’s funny interjections made it much funnier. “I have to use the restroom,” he stated in the video. Many people found the remark funny. Of course. “That’s definitely my kid,” Kelly captioned the photo on Instagram.
River Rose

In 2014, Kelly’s daughter, River Rose Blackstock, was born! In an interview with People published in 2015, the singer discussed the meaning behind the girl’s name and revealed her preference for androgynous names. There wasn’t much imagination behind it, she explained, as they live on a river. I remember standing on our balcony with my partner and thinking, “What about River?” I think that’s quite awesome. As for River’s middle name, the singer revealed that it was picked for the reason that she liked the alliteration and since it is her mom’s maiden name.
The “Because Of You” singer takes images of her children from time to time and shares them on Instagram. There have been several instances where the photos are very cute! Kelly sent a sweet photo of her daughter River having a riding lesson from her dad when they were in quarantine for the COVID-19 outbreak. River has done more than just ride horses; she has also been in some of her mom’s productions. In the video for “Broken and Beautiful,” she was adorable dancing in her mother’s embrace. Two children’s books written by the Grammy winner—River Rose and the Magical Christmas and River Rose and the Magical Lullaby—feature her daughter as the protagonist.
