It was surprising for fans that a pop artist and a scream queen would team up, yet here they are.
Jenna Ortega and Sabrina Carpenter have just delivered the horror film that everyone has been waiting for. On Friday, August 23, the 25-year-old pop artist released the music video for “Taste,” which featured a fierce battle between her and Jenna, the 21-year-old. They start out as rivals but end up becoming friends during the film.

The former Girls Meets World star begins the clip by putting on lipstick and then picking up a big knife. After her apparent ex-boyfriend reunites with his ex-girlfriend (Jenna), she storms into a mansion to exact retribution.
Sabrina Carpenter sings in the chorus, “If it’s true, you’re back together.” “If you taste me when he kisses you, I’ll bet you want me forever.” Just know you’ll taste me too.”
Jenna uses a silver revolver to knock Sabrina out of the window, in perfect Kill Bill fashion, even though Sabrina Carpenter is brandishing a big dagger. After tripping over a fence, Sabrina sustains a gruesome wound. But she does succeed in stabbing Jenna in the eye with a knife.
Throughout the video, the two continue to attempt to murder each other despite the horrific injuries they’ve sustained. When Jenna thinks she has defeated Sabrina, the “Feather” artist, they continue to harass each other. At one point, the two of them torture each other with Voodoo dolls. Beetlejuice’s Jenna breaks her back while Sabrina is on fire, and the actress gives out a sardonic laugh.
One of the most talked-about parts, according to fans, is the kiss between Sabrina and Jenna, which is a perfect illustration of the pop star’s lyrics, “You’ll just have to taste me when he’s kissin’ you.” Sabrina Carpenter steps in as Jenna makes out with her guy. The “Espresso” singer appears beside the Wednesday actress, refuting Jenna’s intentional killing of Sabrina, and instead stating that the boyfriend’s death was due to an accident.
At the end of the video, Sabrina and Jenna attend his funeral. The main ladies don’t join the mourning in their tears; instead, they exchange smiles and depart.
Not long after the video went live, Sabrina Carpenter shared a TikTok with Jenna and herself on the set of “Taste.” The “Feather” hitmaker smiled broadly for the camera as Jenna held up a pink chainsaw, and the hilarious film featured the two coated in fake blood. Sabrina also timed the video to the Talking Heads song “Psycho Killer”.
